Love of The Journey + Summer Fruit Spritzers

Jul 24

Summer-Fruit-Spritzer-01You know that line…something about how time flies? Well, I just realized that it’s been over a year since I started my blog. Last summer, with the help of a very dear friend, I made the decision to begin my blogging journey. While many may think it’s easy to do, I beg to differ. There’s so much that goes in to all we do and it doesn’t just happen overnight. It took me a lot of work, blood, sweat and tears (real tears)…literally…to get where I am today.

I’ve struggled with many things from gaining a strong following to complete and utter failure with great ideas that I just couldn’t execute on. I went from photographing newborns and children to shooting mainly food. My friends who are renowned photographers have complimented my work and have repeatedly told me that they think I found my niche. It took a few years in the photography realm of things, but I finally found my passion and it was all for the love of the journey. I am so happy where I am today. I am successful, I am happy and that’s all that matters!Continue Reading

Very-Berry-Breakfast-Yogurt-Popsicles-01

Summer Vacation is less than 20 school days away for us! Can I just say how ready we are? It’s been a long school year and we are just so ready for some rest and relaxation. During the summer, our days are mostly spent sleeping in and lounging by the pool. Often times, we wake up and it’s that odd time between breakfast and lunch where you don’t really know if you should make one or the other. Usually, by the time I roll out of bed and wash my face, the kids are already in their suits begging me to go out back. For moments like these, I always turn to these Very Berry Breakfast Yogurt Popsicles.Continue Reading

DIY-Graham-Cracker-Princess-Castle-01

Ever since I can remember, Honey Maid Graham Cracker Houses have been a long time tradition for my family. I have so many fond memories of time well-spent with my grandparents and cousins. So when Bunbun was finally old enough to start making her own, I continued the tradition and my son is just about old enough to help now too!

Whether it’s building a princess castle like I’ll be sharing with you today, or a Dragon’s lair, Honey Maid graham cracker houses are a fun activity to do year-round and aren’t just for the Holidays. There are so many different things you can build and the possibilities are endless. You just have to use your imagination. Ask your little ones what they’d like to build. You’ll be surprised at their responses, but let them try!

Building is great for children. It allows them to explore with their creativity, increases motor skills, hand-eye coordination, social skills and even language skills. Building graham cracker houses is not only stimulating, but rewarding as well once they see the final result of their creations. So go grab your kids, family and/or friends and let’s build a princess castle!Continue Reading

Get up and go, go, go! That’s my life. Monday through Friday. I get up before the sun, make breakfast, brew my favorite coffee and sit out back. This is my me time. I don’t have much of it, but I fit it in where I can. As I sit by the pool, watching the sun rise, the trees sway back and fourth, I take it all in. I try relax as much as I can before it’s time to wake the little ones up and get moving, because that’s when things start to get hectic. I like my coffee light and sweet, first thing in the morning. Hazelnut is my flavor of choice, and when it comes to taste, I have to say that nothing really compares to International Delight Simply Pure Coffee Creamer.

The PEEPS® and PEEPS & COMPANY® products, information, and additional gift pack have been provided by PEEPS® and PEEPS & COMPANY®.

And just like that, Spring is in the air. Where does the time go? I feel like the year just started and here I am taking the kids to Easter egg hunts, dyeing eggs, making Easter bark and stuffing Easter baskets! We recently visited a local park with friends and had a great time! The kids hunted for eggs, dyed eggs in shaving cream and a new one for me; rice! I really love the effect of that technique and look forward to using it again sometime with my little ones.
