You know that line…something about how time flies? Well, I just realized that it’s been over a year since I started my blog. Last summer, with the help of a very dear friend, I made the decision to begin my blogging journey. While many may think it’s easy to do, I beg to differ. There’s so much that goes in to all we do and it doesn’t just happen overnight. It took me a lot of work, blood, sweat and tears (real tears)…literally…to get where I am today.

I’ve struggled with many things from gaining a strong following to complete and utter failure with great ideas that I just couldn’t execute on. I went from photographing newborns and children to shooting mainly food. My friends who are renowned photographers have complimented my work and have repeatedly told me that they think I found my niche. It took a few years in the photography realm of things, but I finally found my passion and it was all for the love of the journey. I am so happy where I am today. Summer Vacation is less than 20 school days away for us! Can I just say how ready we are? It’s been a long school year and we are just so ready for some rest and relaxation. Get up and go, go, go! That’s my life. Monday through Friday. I get up before the sun, make breakfast, brew my favorite coffee and sit out back. This is my me time. I don’t have much of it, but I fit it in where I can. As I sit by the pool, watching the sun rise, the trees sway back and fourth, I take it all in. I try relax as much as I can before it’s time to wake the little ones up and get moving, because that’s when things start to get hectic. I like my coffee light and sweet, first thing in the morning.
