Loaded Baked Potato Salad

Summer is officially here!!! Are you already sick of the same boring lunch? Kick it up a notch by adding Loaded Baked Potato Salad into the mix!

Let’s face it, the same sandwich every day, even if you switch it up a bit can get a little mundane. As a Mom, I do my best to keep a variety of items handy for school lunches, picnics, pool days, and BBQ’s. One of my all time favorite sides is a good potato salad. With there being so many to choose from in the stores, I began to think of all the ways I could make my own and incorportate different items.

Love of The Journey + Summer Fruit Spritzers

Summer-Fruit-Spritzer-01You know that line…something about how time flies? Well, I just realized that it’s been over a year since I started my blog. Last summer, with the help of a very dear friend, I made the decision to begin my blogging journey. While many may think it’s easy to do, I beg to differ. There’s so much that goes in to all we do and it doesn’t just happen overnight. It took me a lot of work, blood, sweat and tears (real tears)…literally…to get where I am today.

I’ve struggled with many things from gaining a strong following to complete and utter failure with great ideas that I just couldn’t execute on. I went from photographing newborns and children to shooting mainly food. My friends who are renowned photographers have complimented my work and have repeatedly told me that they think I found my niche. It took a few years in the photography realm of things, but I finally found my passion and it was all for the love of the journey. I am so happy where I am today. I am successful, I am happy and that’s all that matters!Continue Reading

This post is brought to you by Energizer® and The Motherhood. However, all opinions are my own.

Nighttime-Scavenger-Hunt-01Don’t you just love summer nights? The kids are home and you can totally go off of the ‘school schedule’ and have some fun. Bunbun has been quite the night owl as of late and since the weather is much better after the sun goes down, we’ve been spending some evenings outdoors and Lighting up our summer with Energizer®! Read on to find out more and don’t forget to enter the giveaway!Continue Reading

5 Summer Activities for You & Your Dog + $25 Pup-Peroni Giveaway

IMG_0086During the summer, it can be difficult to get out with our pets here. It’s so hot and humid that we tend to stay indoors most of the time unless we are in the pool. Keeping your dogs cool is so important. As they’re covered in a thick coat of fur, they usually feel the heat a lot more than we do. Whilst outdoors may be off-limits in the sun, there are things we can do inside that can keep our dogs cool. One of the best ways to keep your dog from overheating is by installing an air conditioning unit inside the house. No matter where you live, you should be able to get air conditioning installed. For example, those in Houston TX could always call out a company like Indoor Comfort Specialists. That should help the dog to stay indoors comfortably. The sun can be dangerous, so make sure your house is cool enough to keep the dog inside. Additionally, I’ve been told that using a cooling mat is a different way to keep your dog cool if you don’t have a pool so it’s worth checking that option. However, Sophie has so much energy that she needs to spend or else she goes nuts in the house. We try to keep her as active as possible while keeping her cool at the same time.Continue Reading
