Teacher-Emergency-Kit-01

Year after year, I struggle with finding the perfect gifts for Bunbun’s teachers. Everyone always seems to give the same gifts time and time again and I try my best to be unique and give gifts they have not have received in the past. I did spend my time looking at these 37 Creative Gift Ideas For College Professors to see if I could get any inspiration, but I think I’ll save that for when Bunbun is a lot older (and is actually at college).

This year, I decided to create a fun (but easy) teacher emergency kit, which I am excited to share with you today. It’s an excellent gift for your child’s teacher; whether it be for teacher appreciation week, a birthday or just because. It’s also great for the older kids that may have a locker at school.

Very-Berry-Breakfast-Yogurt-Popsicles-01

Summer Vacation is less than 20 school days away for us! Can I just say how ready we are? It’s been a long school year and we are just so ready for some rest and relaxation. During the summer, our days are mostly spent sleeping in and lounging by the pool. Often times, we wake up and it’s that odd time between breakfast and lunch where you don’t really know if you should make one or the other. Usually, by the time I roll out of bed and wash my face, the kids are already in their suits begging me to go out back. For moments like these, I always turn to these Very Berry Breakfast Yogurt Popsicles.Continue Reading

As I tossed and turned the other night, I felt the craft bug creep into my system. I was literally thinking about what to make for National Donut Day and all of a sudden, this idea sparked. And let me just say, I’m so glad it did because it came out super cute!

Being a Mom is hard work. We are alarm clocks, nurses, referees, housekeepers, taxis, counselors and the list goes on! In my book, it’s Mother’s Day every day. But when Mother’s Day rolls around and you realize you have less than a week to find something to give, the going gets tough!Continue Reading

7 Great Gifts for Dad this Father's Day

Do you have trouble finding the perfect gift for Dad every year? Are you tired of giving slippers and T-shirts? I swear, it’s like climbing Mt. Everest every year as I search high and low for the perfect gift. I want to get him cool stuff that I know he’ll love but he doesn’t even make it easy for me. I see gadgets and widgets all over and he’s always interested but he can never make his mind up about what he wants! go from store to store and to the mall at least twice. I’ve let the kids choose my Hubby’s gift for the past two years and we’ve ended up with slippers each time and a screwdriver last year, if I’m not mistaken. So, this year, we’ve decided to make a change. Every man is different, mine likes gadgets and cool new tech things, whereas my friend’s partner is more into toy models and puzzles where one year they even chose to turn a picture into a puzzle as a more personal gift for him! It looked so cool and was perfect for him. Another friend of mine uses overstock.getyourcouponcodes.com to find good deals and she suggested looking at coupons for some inspiration. Since then, I use coupons all of the time and use several sites to find the latest deals and get the best savings.

Butterfly Clothespin Craft for Kids and Orkin Mosquito Summer Scientist Giveaway

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Orkin. All opinions and views are my own.

Butterfly-Clothespin-Craft-01

Summer is almost here! It’s so close, I can smell it and Bunbun and I are counting down the days. It’s been a rather rough school year and both of us are just about ready for it to be done. With that said, we’re ready for some fun and new beginnings. Summer for us brings lots of friends, crafts, swimming, BBQ’s, soccer training camp and lots of outdoor fun!

The one thing that always seems to get us in the summer is mosquitoes! They are annoying little creatures that seem to always find us. Bunbun has some pretty bad reactions to mosquito bites so we always have to be on top of the situation.  Fortunately, the experts at Orkin study the science of mosquitoes and other pests closely in order to better tailor plans that help keep them out of our homes this summer.Continue Reading

DIY-Graham-Cracker-Princess-Castle-01

Ever since I can remember, Honey Maid Graham Cracker Houses have been a long time tradition for my family. I have so many fond memories of time well-spent with my grandparents and cousins. So when Bunbun was finally old enough to start making her own, I continued the tradition and my son is just about old enough to help now too!

Whether it’s building a princess castle like I’ll be sharing with you today, or a Dragon’s lair, Honey Maid graham cracker houses are a fun activity to do year-round and aren’t just for the Holidays. There are so many different things you can build and the possibilities are endless. You just have to use your imagination. Ask your little ones what they’d like to build. You’ll be surprised at their responses, but let them try!

Building is great for children. It allows them to explore with their creativity, increases motor skills, hand-eye coordination, social skills and even language skills. Building graham cracker houses is not only stimulating, but rewarding as well once they see the final result of their creations. So go grab your kids, family and/or friends and let’s build a princess castle!Continue Reading

Spring Clean Year Round with : Pledge® Multi Surface Antibacterial Everyday Cleaner + Cleaning Schedule

Apr 17

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Pledge®. However, all opinions and views are my own. #SCJMessyMoments

I’m so happy Spring is here! The beautiful sound of the birds chirping every morning as I hustle out the door is just lovely. It’s one of the first things I notice about springtime here in South Florida. The weather is great and the pool is already calling my name. But first, I have some spring cleaning to get done – and that includes cleaning the pool! We do have a pool cleaner robot but I still need to make sure the chlorine levels are right. While it adds another job to the spring cleaning list, it’s my favorite one to do because I just think about how much fun we’re going to have after it’s done!

Now, to be truthful; I used to loathe cleaning. But then again, who really likes it? For me, it was to the point where I was actually paying for a cleaning service and getting in touch with companies who can provide rubbish skips, just so I could be more motivated into giving my house a proper spring clean. And I know what you’re thinking. What’s a stay-at-home mom need a cleaning service for? Well, that’s how much I didn’t like it!
