Tis’ the season for family gatherings, parties and of course, drinks! We had a great Thanksgiving this year. The food was great and the company was even better!! I am so thankful for my family, friends and of course all of you.

Every year, as we get closer to Christmas, we get together with a few of our friends for a Christmas party. Sometimes we do a cookie exchange, secret santa and a pot luck. The latter, usually brings some great treats and a few surprises. It’s being with family and friends that truly make Christmas so joyous.

Get ready for the Holidays with BISSELL and BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Giveaway

Nov 17

I am cringing just thinking about all the company we will have over the next couple months. My house definitely isn’t in order and the couches are so embarrassing. Between having a 6 year old and a 3 year old, things can get pretty messy around here. Add a 70lb. Boxer to that equation and you have a disaster zone! As you can imagine, our armory of cleaning supplies needs to be able to handle all this, so we need to make decisions on things like whether we opt for a stick or an upright vacuum (https://allgreatvacuums.com/stick-vs-upright-vacuum/) and many other considerations.

We allow the kids to eat in the living room, but I have to say that they really aren’t that messy. Most of the spots and stains on the couch are a result of Sophie either drooling or continuously licking her big ol’ paws. And possibly coming in from outside with wet paws from either the rain or pool deck.

Our couches, while they may be old, have the potential to be new again. Time and time again, I have used my BISSELL carpet cleaner (previous model) and they look amazing. When we were offered a chance to try out BISSELL’s ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet, I just couldn’t say no! I am so excited to tell you about how it worked for us and give you a chance to win a BISSELL product bundle as well!

BISSELL’s ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet takes the hassle out of deep cleaning. When it comes to tackling everyday messes, either from the kids or the fur babies, most are often challenged with choosing between a quick refresh or a deep clean based on their time constraints.

The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet offers multiple cleaning modes, combining dual DirtLifter brushes with heated cleaning and powerful suction for a solid deep-down clean. It also comes with BISSELL Deep Clean + Antibacterial formula, which deep cleans and controls odor-causing bacteria. Great for homes with dogs, like ours…

With a lightweight design and low-profile foot, weighing only 18 pounds, the ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet allows for easy maneuverability when cleaning carpets. The Dual Powerbrushes feature 12 total cleaning rows for a deep down clean along with two different cleaning modes, an express clean mode and deep clean mode which delivers professional-style results when used in conjunction with the BISSELL Professional Formulas. My friend raves about this too, so when she needs a good clean of her carpet, she’ll ONLY use this and Melbourne Carpet Cleaning companies like blackgoldcarpetcleaning.com.au, because she knows exactly what she’s getting then.

In my case, the detachable hose is my best friend. It is absolutely perfect for cleaning upholstery, carpeted stairs, and spot cleaning area rugs around the house. I used to frequently use something like a Rug Cleaning Brunswick service for my carpets and rugs, however I think I might only need such cleaning companies as and when I need a deep clean now! And the best part; for every purchase of the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet, BISSELL will donate $10 to the BISSELL Pet Foundation to help America’s homeless pets.

I definitely enjoyed using the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet and plan to continue using it regularly to maintain the cleanliness of our couches. I loved how easy the machine was to use and how affordable the formula was. It certainly makes cleaning a breeze and doesn’t break the bank!

Big difference, right? Check out the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Here!

Salted Caramel Pumpkin Pie Crescents

Nov 09

Thanksgiving has always meant so much to me. I have fond memories of our family being together around the table and sharing memories. I could listen to them laugh for days. It’s just pure happiness! I miss those days. They would be hectic, but we were together and that was the best feeling for me growing up.

Things have changed over the years. Everyone kind of does their own thing now and smaller groups of us get together to share the holiday. With everyone being in different cities and states, it definitely puts a strain on our big family gatherings.

Halloween Trick or Treat Printables

Oct 27

Every year on Halloween, we have a small block party and take to the neighborhood for our annual Trick or Treating. Since the whole family goes, we are never home to distribute any candy, but we always leave a big bowl and put the honor system in place. Last year, I made these adorable Halloween signs to place next to our candy cauldron and since Bunbun was new to Girl Scouts, I incorporated that as well.

Help Fight Childhood Hunger With Cuddle+Kind Knit Dolls

Oct 26

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I can’t help but think about all the children without parents, homes and/or food. Being a parent of two small children, it definitely tugs at your heartstrings. Growing up, we weren’t the most fortunate home on the block. I remember eating toast with butter and a can of whole tomatoes on top. And for me, that felt like a five-star meal. I was raised by my grandmother and grandfather and when her arthritis forced her to stop working at a young age, it left her on disability and my grandfather as the sole provider for the household. Even when family and friends recommended that she visited a weed dispensary to try and find something that could help with the pains, she was still determined to push through. We went through quite a bit of rough patches, but somehow, they always found a way to make ends meet. Maybe nowadays they would be more open to the Blessed CBD oil option, but it doesn’t change how life was back then. I am very thankful for all that I had growing up. Although it was not much, it was enough and I knew I was loved.

Chocolate Dipped Halloween Pretzels

Oct 26

Wow! I can’t believe we are less than a week away from Halloween already! Bunbun has decided to be Frankenstein this year. I’m not quite sure where this idea came from, but I find it cute. I found a minion costume which was much better than the usual ones so I was trying to convince her to wear it. She decided on Frankenstein in the end though! Her class did an activity for Halloween called, “Guess Who I am?”. The kids drew a self portrait of themselves and described what their favorite things are from Halloween. Such as favorite activity, candy and/or treat. Then they write what they will be for Halloween and the others guess who is who. Bunbun’s was a dead giveaway for me when I noticed it on the bulletin board. Her self portrait was a girl with pigtails, colored green, with stitches on her face. I knew it was Frankenstein!!! Or as she labeled it; “Franken Girl”.

In our home, we are always looking for a twist on snacks. Having the same thing over and over can get boring and sometimes, you need to add some flair to make things fun and interesting. Kids love a good surprise and Halloween is an excellent time to add some flair to their snacks. You can take the  snacks they love and make them spook-tacular or build your own together. Today, I am going to show you how you can mummify a snack cup and make a tasty Halloween treat!

Netflix Kids Picks: Halloween

Oct 15

My little monsters have been quite busy this month! They scoped out the Netflix scene early and quickly began watching Halloween movies. The Buddies series of movies by Disney is one of Bunbun’s favorites and she was quite pleased to find Spooky Buddies in their lineup. The Nightmare Before Christmas is a family tradition of ours. We pop popcorn, grab all of our pillows, a few blankets and cuddle up on the couch. This year, we introduced the kids to The Addams Family, forgetting the content. It may not have been the wisest decision considering their ages, but my hubby and I got a little nostalgic as it reminded us of our childhood.

Trick or Treat: How to make your own BOO Kit and #BOOItForward

Oct 13

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions and views are mine alone. #BOOItForward #CollectiveBias

Yes!!! It’s that time of year again. The weather is changing and the leaves are falling. Neighbors are taking out their Halloween decorations from jack-o-lanterns to skeletons and even spooky messages on signs from www.neonfilter.com. Everyone is getting out there and sprucing up the neighborhood in preparation of the big night.
As a child, my favorite holiday was Halloween. I was ‘almost’ a Halloween baby, so my Birthday and Halloween are within a few short days of each other. I absolutely love decorating and sharing in on the Halloween fun with the neighborhood children and of course my own.

When we purchased our first home back in 2012 the tradition of BOO’ing had just begun in the neighborhood. To join in the spooky spirit of giving, we made a BOO kit full of candy and goodies to bring to our neighbor’s house. We left it at the doorstep along with a card explaining what it meant to be Boo’d and an extra to encourage them to continue the cycle of “boo’ing.” They were then left guessing who left the tub of treats and something good to eat. While our identity remained a secret, it was up to them to pay it forward and create their own BOO kit for for an unsuspecting neighbor or friend.
