5 Tips to Help Power Your Morning

Okay! So before I get started with these awesome tips, go grab your COUPON NOW!

I used to dread getting up in the morning. I would hit the snooze button over a dozen times before I actually dragged myself out of bed. Until I had kids, that is. Now, everything is go, go, GO! I mean, don’t get me wrong. I still have snooze button mornings but they are few and far in between now-a-days. After becoming a mom, I realized that I needed to start planning my days, sticking to a schedule and eating foods that would keep me going.

I started keeping a To-Do list beside my bed and I found that it helped me drift off to sleep a bit faster once everything was more/less off of my mind. So far, these little things have been keeping me sane all these years and have turned me into an awesome morning person. Well, almost awesome! My hair is still a mess in the morning and I usually ditch the makeup. But I smile a bit more now.

Here are my 5 tips to help power your morning!

1. Plan Your Day the Night Before
Keep a to-do list on your nightstand and jot everything down before you go to sleep. This will ensure you have a productive morning and it won’t leave you running around like a chicken with its head cut off worrying about that you need to get done for the day.

2. Set a Bedtime
Okay, I know we’re adults. But we need our sleep too! Do your best to get at least 8 hours of sleep. With this being said, not everyone finds it easy to get to sleep, so it is important to find ways to manage this. It could be something as simple as changing the mattress, especially if the people sleeping in the bed are experiencing back pains. It means it is time to change the mattress sooner rather than later. It is also important to understand that heavy people need more robust mattresse, compared to someone who is of a smaller size, as weight could be affecting the mattress. It’s also important that you do plenty of research when you’re buying a new mattress too. Sleep is so important and you don’t want to be uncomfortable every time you get in bed! Mattresses are an important part of helping us relax so why not check out the best mattress of australia in 2020 and get a comfier night’s sleep.

There are many other ways to help with getting a better night’s sleep, such as getting into a routine of brushing your teeth, using some mouthwash, and then flossing in the evening can also help you to wind down. As any Dentist in Temple Terrace will tell you, cleaning your teeth before bed is essential. Start by going to bed 15 minutes earlier than usual and see if you notice a difference. For me personally, I am less groggy and more adept to get up on that first alarm buzz when I have had a good night’s rest. And if I’m in a good mood, the kids will be in a good mood too. Trust me, rushing out the door because you kept hitting the snooze button is not a fun time!

3. Ditch Social Media

I have to admit, I am a repeat offender with this one. Try to avoid using your phone and/or tablet before bed and first thing in the morning. Using these devices before bed can stimulate your brain and make it difficult to fall asleep. And the truth is, social media is like a deep, dark black hole. Once you get sucked in, it’s so hard to get back out and this can totally throw you off of your routines. So save these distractions for when you have some free-time! During this time, you will have a lot of ground to make up. Spending time away from social media can do you the world of good, but it can also have an effect on how many followers you have. The fewer posts you upload, the higher the chance of losing followers, unless you decide to learn more about how nitreo works, a growth service, to ensure that when you come back to your profile, you are still able to reach a wider audience. Just because you’re spending more time away from the screen, it doesn’t mean that you should forget about your social media presence.

4. Keep a Morning Routine
Try organizing your morning into more of a routine for yourself and your little ones. We are creatures of habit, so creating a routine will get things running smoothly once you are doing it daily. You’ll most likely find that you are more relaxed and ready to go!

5. Eat Breakfast
They say breakfast is the most important part of the day. So make it so! Don’t even think about skipping breakfast. Doing so will really slow down your day. Eating breakfast will give you the boost you need in the morning and improve your mood. If you’re a busy parent, try Nature Valley’s new Cereals!
