Ever Wonder How Your Kids View You? + $25 Gift Card Giveaway

This post is brought to you by Office Depot® OfficeMax® and The Motherhood. However, all opinions are my own.

ever-wonder-how-your-kids-view-you-01Parenting is no joke! I mean, let’s face it…It’s tough work. It’s constant, never-ending work. People often ask me what I do all day since I’m a stay at home mom. That question is usually pretty insulting to me because I think most people have the perception that I sit on the couch and eat ice cream all day. In reality, that is far from the case and truthfully, I’d really like to answer their question with the myriad of things I do day in and day out. Listen, just because I don’t work a 9 to 5, doesn’t mean I sit around all day.Continue Reading

Earn Money For Your Child’s School with eBoxTops at Winn-Dixie and $15 Pay Pal Giveaway

https://ooh.li/bb13709

Being a stay-at-home mom is no easy feat. But try being a stay-at-mom and VP of Fundraising at your child’s school. Talk about exhausting!!! I love being there and helping out. The kids are genuinely happy to see me in the hallways and I get lots of snuggles and hugs. The hardest part, however, is finding ways to earn money for the school. Over the years, I think parents have become sick of all those catalog sales and are looking for new ways to contribute to their child’s school. We’ve had a few different ideas to try and raise money, with some suggesting looking into online investments like BTC Profit to help with the financials. Another one of those ideas was a casino event for the parents and teachers of the school. Normally, casino evenings seem to draw a lot of people out of their homes, so that is something that we are considering. If we did go ahead with it, we’d recommend that parents and teachers got some practice in by using an online casino (find the best ones at https://www.best-casino.net/). Casinos normally allow people to make a lot of money, so all of those winnings could go towards the school if we held an event like that. For now, we’re looking into easier methods though.

Savings at Publix: Back to School Superhero Snack Station

Back to School Superhero Snack Station with Free Superhero Girls Printable

Week two of first grade brought homework. And lot’s of it! Bunbun has 10 spelling words, reading homework and a cute little about me poster project to complete. Last week, I purchased a new desk for myself and gave her my old one. I set her up with a little writing/art station using a bin I had purchased a while back. I took advantage of the back to school Savings at Publix and stocked up on some crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks and scissors as well. I added scrap paper to another compartment and voila! Bunbun loves her new little set-up and it allows her to be creative with no restrictions on art mediums.

Back to School Sign Template and Tutorial

Wow! Can you believe it’s that time of year again? Our children our gearing up go to back to school! I have to admit, I have had Bunbun’s school supplies purchased and ready to go for a few weeks now. Her uniforms came in last week and all she needs is new sneakers. I honestly am not ready to send her back just yet. Can we just have a few more weeks? Months even? We have really been enjoying one another, keeping busy and spending time with friends. But, I guess we can’t keep them home forever, right?

Every year, we do a sign for the first day of school. This year, we are changing things up a bit and I am happy to share my files with you!

Up Inspired Bulletin Board > Summer Countdown

When I saw Clicky Pix’s ‘UP’ classroom door, I couldn’t wait for the end of the school year! I reused the clouds I had made for our Lorax bulletin board, grabbed the house image from Google and cut it out. I cut all of the letters in the Teacher’s lounge, blew up a each balloon and stapled it all onto the board. Once I had the balloons in place, I found some leftover yarn in the classroom and attached them at the bottom in a point and stretched them up toward the balloons. I added my house on top and we were ready to start the countdown! Each day, a child wrote the countdown number and stapled it to the board and we counted down the days to summer together.

Spring Classroom Door > Teacher Appreciation

It was so much fun turning Bunbun’s Kindergarten class into little flowers this Spring! I made a chain link rainbow out of construction paper scraps and drew my little watering can with the projector. The grass was a single strip of bulletin paper and I used the Martha Stewart Fringe Scissor to create the blades of grass. I then cut the letters in our teachers lounge and added them to the pink poster board for an extra pop of color. The students loved looking for each other on their flowers and her teacher really appreciated the wording on the door.

What fun Spring decorations and/or themes have you used?

The Lorax Bulletin Board > Spring > Earth Day

I personally wasn’t so welcoming of Spring this year. I love the winter months here in South Florida and never want them to end! I swear, the weather is just perfect…and so is my hair. Bunbun’s teacher loves Dr. Seuss, so for Earth Day, we just had to do a Lorax Themed board. I again took to her amazing projector with my poster board and went to town. The grass was triple folded bulletin paper and I used the Martha Stewart Fringe Scissor to create the blades of grass. Once the board was up, we were finally able get some work up there for everyone to enjoy.
