Okay, so Fall is finally here and for me that means more than pumpkin spice everything. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s so close to my birthday or just because it’s so much fun. This year, my kids have chosen some pretty random costumes, but I’m totally okay with it. We’re all going to be dolls and you’re going to have to stalk my Instagram account to see us on the big night because I don’t want to ruin the surprise.

Now that we are back in our school routine, I am finding it a bit difficult getting my little one to eat at home after school. I’m not sure if he is either still full from lunch or maybe tired, but I am always on top of my kids’ nutrition and the things they are eating. You know that line…something about how time flies? Well, I just realized that it’s been over a year since I started my blog. Last summer, with the help of a very dear friend, I made the decision to begin my blogging journey. While many may think it’s easy to do, I beg to differ. There’s so much that goes in to all we do and it doesn’t just happen overnight. It took me a lot of work, blood, sweat and tears (real tears)…literally…to get where I am today.
I’ve struggled with many things from gaining a strong following to complete and utter failure with great ideas that I just couldn’t execute on. I went from photographing newborns and children to shooting mainly food. My friends who are renowned photographers have complimented my work and have repeatedly told me that they think I found my niche. It took a few years in the photography realm of things, but I finally found my passion and it was all for the love of the journey. I am so happy where I am today. Our summer has been quite relaxing so far. Lot’s of time has been spent on the couch and in the pool with friends. Did I mention the BBQ’s? Oh yes!!! With summer comes BBQ’s at our place.
