Christmas Tree Brownies

Last week was nothing but volunteering at Bunbun’s school and baking. I was so exhausted! But for some reason, being in the kitchen is a stress reliever for me. Maybe because it keeps my mind busy and off of the daily stresses. But either way, it’s one of my favorite things to do. I don’t think you will ever hear me complain about being in the kitchen unless its because I am doing the dishes. I despise doing the dishes. I’d rather cook!

5 Thanksgiving Books for Kids

As a parent, I often times find it difficult to explain things in a way my children will completely understand. Holiday’s are one of those times for some reason. I can explain the historical aspects, but not so well on a child’s level of understanding, if that makes sense. I tend to look for books that can help with this. Between the wording and the pictures, I find that it seems to click for them.

Thanksgiving is about more than just eating, but try to explain that to a 3 year old boy! Bunbun more/less understands now. My little guy however, just wants to eat everything on the table!

Graveyard Brownies

Are you getting ready for Halloween? I have some amazing treats coming up on the blog over the next couple weeks to prepare you for the big night! But first, let’s get started with these delicious Halloween Graveyard Brownies!

Last week, I put this recipe together and it is absolutely perfect for a Halloween treat. The kids can even help you make it! These brownies were really the perfect batch. Floating Heart Mobile

Wow! It feels so good to finally get things going on the blog again. I had a freak accident which took me off of my feet for over six weeks, but with the help of my hubby and amazing friends, I am well on my way to getting back to my old self. Being stuck on the couch for over 6 weeks was a long road, but I am so happy to finally be walking again and getting back to our routine.

The Holiday’s came and went in the blink of an eye and I felt terrible that I wasn’t able to post anything for you all during that time. So as soon as I felt the least bit up to par, I started planning for Valentine’s Day. I finally had a chance to go out on my own the other night and I can’t even explain the feeling I felt when I walked into the craft store. It was a bit overwhelming and so many ideas came to mind. I literally wanted to buy the whole store.Continue Reading

Okay, so Fall is finally here and for me that means more than pumpkin spice everything. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s so close to my birthday or just because it’s so much fun. This year, my kids have chosen some pretty random costumes, but I’m totally okay with it. We’re all going to be dolls and  you’re going to have to stalk my Instagram account to see us on the big night because I don’t want to ruin the surprise.

It’s a little early for me to start posting Halloween related content, but I couldn’t help myself. So, I thought these colorful no-so-Halloween-ish Monster Ice Cream Cupcakes would be a great way to ease us into what will begin the start of our holi”daze”. Once we hit Halloween, the remainder of the year just flies on by.Continue Reading
